With over 30 years in the automotive, insurance, and services industry, Mr. Robby Robbs brings a unique blend of experience developed through a comprehensive understanding of the diverse relationships that exist between the automotive, insurance and related collision repair industry. Throughout his career, he has realized tremendous success as an entrepreneur, as an executive in the Insurance Industry, and as an innovator in collision repair management. Mr. Robbs utilized his experience ingenuity and foresight to start and lead Vital Innovations Inc. and InsuroCity. His background includes, level setting market realities, development of business plans, optimization of market opportunity through leveraged and balanced portfolios, process management, project management, network development, market alignment strategies, process engineering/re-engineering, defining value propositions and over-all business governance. Robby joined Nobilas North America (a subsidiary of Akzo Nobel) in March of 2004 where he was responsible for strategic development. During this period, Mr. Robbs was a key contributor to building one of the most innovative Managed Claims Solutions in the market. This eventually led to him becoming General Manager where he participated in the sale of the business. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Vital Innovations Inc. and InsuroCity Inc. both formed in Canada. After acquiring Vital Innovations in 1998, Robby led the organization through phenomenal growth taking the company from $300k per year to annual sales of almost $36 million within 5 years. During that period, he also recognized an opportunity to move insurance claims legacy systems into the new economy with enabling technology and formed InsuroCity. InsuroCity was sold in October of 2001 and Vital Innovations sold in July of 2003.Before joining Vital, Robby held various senior management positions during his 10-year tenure with one of Canada’s leading insurance companies. He developed a solid reputation as a leader and visionary with a keen understanding of process re-engineering and change management. He has served in various capacities with numerous industry associations including the position of Executive Director for Collision Reporting Centers (CRC), Chair of the CRC Towing sub-committee for the GTA, and Vice Chair of Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (ICAR) Canada. Robby participated in surrendering the Canadian Charter and Dissolution of the Canadian Board of Directors in accordance with mandates served by the International Board of Directors. Robby has been a Director on the I-CAR International Board where he has also served as Chairman of the Board. |
